§ 93.056. SECOND ACCESS; EMERGENCY ACCESS.

  • Any public street that will serve or permit access to 25 or more lots or dwelling units shall have two means of direct access to the existing public street system. The second means of access may be used for emergency access purposes only with approval from the City Council, and such access shall be maintained by the petitioner for year-round access. Each access shall be built and maintained per the standards of a public road, but the surface material may be permitted to be a material other than bituminous paving, provided that the City Engineer recommends the use of the proposed alternate material.
