Title IX. GENERAL REGULATIONS |
Chapter 93. STREETS AND SIDEWALKS |
ACCEPTANCE OF PRIVATE ROADS |
§ 93.050. INTENT.
Latest version.
- It is the intent of this subchapter to provide for a clear and efficient process for the evaluation and consideration of the acceptance of private roads into the public street network. It is expected that, while some private roads may be eligible for acceptance into the public system, other private roads may not have been designed to a standard that complies with the local minimum threshold for acceptance into the public system and, therefore, may not be eligible for acceptance. The Planning Commission and City Council are expected to consider all factors effecting petition for acceptance of a private road and whether each individual street can be incorporated into the public system without causing undue burden on the city and the health, safety and welfare of the general public.(Ord. 06-2013, passed 4-15-2013)
