§ 32.01. ESTABLISHMENT.

- In recognition of the fact that it is in the best interest of the City of the Village of Douglas to halt property value deterioration; increase property tax valuation where possible in the city business district; eliminate the causes of the property tax deterioration; and promote economic growth in the business district of the city, the Downtown Development Authority of the City of the Village of Douglas is hereby established pursuant to Public Act 197 of 1975, being M.C.L.A. §§ 125.1651 to 125.1680, as amended, to be known as the City of the Village of Douglas Downtown Development Authority. The City of the Village of Douglas Downtown Development Authority shall be known as the Downtown Development Authority of the City of the Village of Douglas.(Ord. 144, passed 11-3-1997; Am.
